OCEAN CITY POLICE GARNER TOP MARKSMANSHIP HONORS

Four Ocean City Police Department members won high honors for marksmanship during the 2011 Maryland State Police Pistol Combat competition in Frederick, Maryland.  Team Captain Sgt. Mark L. Paddack, Cpl. Greg DeGiovanni, Pfc. Daniel Jacobs and Retired Lt. Mark Doyle received the honors. 

Cpl. DeGiovanni and Pfc. Jacobs finished third overall in the two man team event, followed by the team of Sgt. Paddack, Cpl. DeGiovanni, Pfc. Jacobs and Retired Lt. Doyle who finished second overall in the four man team.

Cpl. DeGiovanni was the first place winner of the sharpshooter class with the semi-automatic and the second place winner in the sharpshooter class with a revolver. Pfc. Jacbos also placed first in the marksman class for both revolver and semi-auto events. Finally, retired Lt. Doyle finished second in the expert class with the revolver. 

OCPD Pistol Team members donate their time and pay expenses for the opportunity to represent the OCPD not only in the State of Maryland, but all over the country.  Congratulations to the Ocean City Police Pistol Team members!
