A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for the Ocean City area until midnight tonight. Forecasters are predicting 5-8 inches of snow and gusty winds from the north of 20-25 MPH with gusts up to 40-45 MPH which may create blizzard-like conditions. Roads will quickly become snow covered and slippery due to the rapidly falling temperatures and increased snowfall rates. The combination of snow and gusty winds will produce blowing snow that will reduce visibility to below one mile at times.
Ocean City residents are advised to limit traveling this evening as travel conditions are expected to become dangerous. If residents must drive, stay alert, drive slowly and expect icy roadways.
